Sasa Mirkovic is the owner of the largest production company in the Balkans, Hype production

Sasa Mirkovic was born in Bor, where he completed elementary and high school, as well as a lower-level music school. He studied law in Belgrade and Novi Sad and completed his academic career with a master's degree from the Faculty of Transport.

Immediately after graduation, he began working at Tas Estrada, which marked the start of his professional career as a manager and producer. Over the years, he built a reputation as one of the most prominent producers in the region, managing the careers of many famous personalities from the showbiz scene of the former Yugoslavia. Among them are: Juice, 187, Magazin, Boris Novkovic, Vlado Kalember, Alen Islamovic, Tose Proeski, Jurica Padjen, Rajko Dujmic, Dobrivoje Topalovic, Predrag Zivkovic Tozovac, Goca Trzan, Legende, Zeljko Joksimovic, Zdravko Colic, Dragan Stojnic, Miroslav Ilic, Aca Lukas, Ana Nikolic, Mira Skoric, Marija Serifovic, Valentino group, Leontina Vukomanovic, Dobrivoje Topalovic and many others.

He is the founder of the music and TV production company "Beoton", known for shows such as "Rikoset", "Nemoguca misija", "Nedostatak dokaza", "Nista za sakriti", "Javni konkurs", "Telefon" and others.

"Beoton" was also behind major musical spectacles in the largest venues across the country and abroad, including the Aca Lukas concert at Marakana stadium and the Motorhead concert at Tasmajdan in Belgrade.

Under Sasa Mirkovic's leadership, „Beoton” launched the music show "Evropska zvezda" on February 20, 2010, beginning a tour across cities in Serbia.

Marija Serifovic

At the Radio Festival, he met Marija Serifovic, with whom he began a collaboration a year later. The highlight of this partnership was the victory at Eurovision in Helsinki, where he was the head of the Serbian delegation. After the triumph, at the suggestion of the European Commission and its Commissioner for Culture, Mr. Jan Figel, Sasa Mirkovic and Marija Serifovic became European Ambassadors for Intercultural Dialogue.

He organized the concert of the Irish dance group Riverdance, titled "Rhythm of the Dance," at the Sava Center in Belgrade.

Carolija (Magic)

Together with Leontina Vukomanovic, he founded the children's music festival "Carolija", the largest children's festival in the world.

For his contribution to culture and the music industry, Mirkovic has received numerous awards, including: the Belgrade Victor award, the Golden Badge of the Cultural and Educational Community of Serbia, the Principles of the QC 100 Total Quality Management Model for best company and manager, awarded by the Spanish European-level organization BID (Business Initiative Directions), and the Popularity Oscar for the "Carolija" children's festival. He has also received many other accolades for solidarity, humanity, social responsibility, and charitable work.

He is the author of the book "Molitva za patriote” - how I conquered Europe with Marija Serifovic.

Parallel to his work in the music industry, he was also involved in political marketing, collaborating with political figures such as Ivica Dacic, Tomislav Nikolic, and the current President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

He organized the concert of SLASH, lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses, at Belgrade Arena on July 31, 2011.

He was Assistant Minister of Transport to Milutin Mrkonjic in Ivica Dacic's government and later became President of the City Assembly of Zajecar and a Member of the National Assembly of Serbia.

He received the "Kapetan Mica Anastasijevic" award for Personality of the Year, which is awarded to the most successful individuals, entrepreneurs, and institutions in the South Banat District.

Purchase of Sport magazine

Sasa Mirkovic and Aca Lukas bought the oldest sports newspaper "Sport".

He withdrew from political life in 2016 after the end of his parliamentary term.

Together with Sasa Al Hamed, he founded Hype Production and the television channel of the same name. Hype has become the leading production house in the region, responsible for numerous television, film, and series projects.

Album Aca Lukas 2021

At the end of January 2021, Aca Lukas's new album "Uspavanka za ozbiljne bebe" was released, produced by Hype Production.

Duet Now and Forever

In 2021, under Hype Production, the duet of Balkan stars Aca Lukas and Dragana Mirkovic titled "Sad i zauvek" was recorded, quickly capturing audiences and reaching tens of millions of views.

Shortly thereafter, the production began filming the TV series "The Flighters", which showed great promise. This project marked a creative surge for producer Mirkovic, who within a few years generated a large amount of film and series content from his entertainment factory.

After several successful seasons of the popular " The Flighters", audiences in the region were delighted by the news of the upcoming series "Balkan tavern" and the film "Thorn" based on the life of music star Aleksandar Vuksanovic, better known as Aca Lukas, written by the masterful Vanja Bulic.

Arena concerts

He organized the first post-pandemic concert at Stark Arena when Aca Lukas and Folk House Band performed before 20 000 people on April 14. Eight months later, on November 3, another sold-out Lukas concert followed, continuing the tour in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Sarajevo's Zetra on November 12, Zenica on December 8, Mejdan Hall in Tuzla on December 22, and a concert in Teslic on December 27, 2022.

In 2022, two concerts celebrating Miroslav Ilic's 50 year music career were held on December 10 10. and 11 at Stark Arena.

2023. In 2023, as executive producer, he realized the following concerts:
• Miroslav Ilic on March 4 in Novi Sad at Spens Arena, and December 15 in Belgrade at Stark Arena,
• Eros Ramazzotti on April 21 in Belgrade at Stark Arena,
• Aca Lukas on May 13 in Zagreb at Arena Zagreb,
• The world premiere of the film "Torn Apart" in the largest cinema venue in film history, and the concert on November 3 at Stark Arena in Belgrade.
Following the Belgrade premiere of "Thorn" produced by Telekom Srbija and Hype Production and inspired by the life of Aca Lukas, premieres and concerts took place across the region: November 4 in Split at Gripe Hall, November 8 in Sarajevo at Skenderija, November 9 in Banja Luka at Borik Hall, December 2 in Nis at Cair Hall.

The first film in the trilogy "Balkan tavern" titled "Torn" began screening on November 23.

The rapid growth of Hype Production's success is evident in the large volume of filmed content. In a short period, the following series were produced: "The Flighters", "Balkan tavern”, "Wild grass," "Alapace", "Savrsen nered", "Seosko sokace" "Bos il’ Hadzija“ and "Pigmalion" as well as the films "Torn", "Horrible" and "Two lives".

Music production also continued with the duet "Igraj igraj sve do zore" by Aca Lukas and Miroslav Ilic and in November, Aca Lukas released a long-anticipated duet with Mira Skorić titled "Krik".

2024. In 2024, as producer, he realized the following concerts:
• Miroslav Ilic in Belgrade at the Blue Hall of Sava Center on December 10 and 11,
• The spectacular premiere of the film "Horrible", produced by Telekom Srbija and Hype Production, and the concert by Aca Lukas on November 19 at the Blue Hall of Sava Center,
• The 18th birthday of "Carolija" at the Blue Hall of Sava Center on December 22.

In March 2024, Sasa Mirkovic received the Popularity Oscar for the most successful producer of the year at the ceremony in Banja Luka.

In April 2024, the film "Torn" won 5 awards at the Rome film festival "Hollywood On The Tiber Film Awards" in the following categories: Best Film, Best International Film, Best Producer, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Sasa Mirkovic proudly took home two awards for Best Screenplay and Best Producer.

Album Aca Lukas 2024

In 2024, under Hype Production and produced by Sasa Mirkovic, Aca Lukas released a new album titled "Najjaci kad nemam”.

Saša Mirković, along with legends Miroslav Ilic and Aca Lukas, also collaborated with top female stars such as Mira Skoric and Ana Nikolic.

Starting in 2025, the awards and recognitions for Sasa Mirkovic’s film and TV accomplishments are also available on IMDb, one of the world’s most renowned databases dedicated to film, TV shows, actors, directors, producers, and all other aspects of the industry.

Hype Group, under the leadership of MSc Sasa Mirkovic, continues to operate successfully across Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Turkey, Slovenia and Croatia.

Zlatni beocug

At the National Theatre, on May 21, 2025, Sasa Mirkovic received the prestigious "Zlatni beocug" award for his lasting contribution to the culture of Belgrade. This award is one of the most significant honors in the cultural sphere in Belgrade, granted since 1970 by the Cultural and Educational Community of Belgrade.
